Financial Aid Calendar

BY THIS DATE:   YOU SHOULD HAVE:
March 1, 2009   completed and submitted a 2009-2010 FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) using the Tulane federal ID code of 002029.
March 16, 2009  

you should have EITHER faxed or mailed a completed 2009-2010 Public Health Financial Aid Addendum to us.

March 18, 2009   attended (if you are a continuing student) the Financial Aid Summer Workshop if you are seeking financial aid for the summer semester.
April 17, 2009  

submitted your 2009 Summer Addendum (suggested deadline) if you want aid for the summer semester to arrive in a timely manner.

April 30, 2009   received (if you are an incoming student) your Notification of Aid Letter for 2009-2010. As each student is awarded, an e-mail will be sent that informs you that your award has been changed. You can check the status of your file here .
June 12, 2009   fully completed and submitted your 2009 Summer Addendum, as today is the DEADLINE.
July 1, 2009  

selected (if you are an incoming student) the lender from whom you wish to borrow your Federal Stafford loan and have completed a Master Promissory Note (MPN) on line at that lender's web site. To review the Federal Stafford Tulane streamlined lender list, click here.

Whether you are an incoming or continuing student, if you are also borrowing a credit-based Federal Graduate Plus loan or a credit-based private loan, you should have applied on line at your lender’s web site for either of these loans, but not both. Please review the Frequently Asked Questions for the differences between Graduate Plus loans and private loans, and for application links.

August 19, 2009   attended the SPHTM orientation.

August 20, 2009

  attended either the 10:00 am or 2:00 pm Financial Aid Entrance Session.
August 24, 2009   begun attending classes.
August 31, 2009   signed up for Tulane's direct deposit feature at the Accounts Receivable Office web site. Incoming students cannot sign up for direct deposit until you have registered and been charged tuition.
September 9, 2009   received your fall financial aid direct deposit refund. If you have not signed up for direct deposit through Accounts Receivable, please allow additional days for receipt of your refund via check.

Note: Use of a non-streamlined lender may cause a delay in receipt of your refund.
September 17, 2009   observed Constitution Day

January 7, 2010   attended either the 10:00 am or 2:00 pm Financial Aid Entrance Session if spring is your first semester.
January 11, 2010   begun attending spring classes.
January 23, 2010   received your spring financial aid direct deposit refund. If you have not signed up for direct deposit, please allow additional days for receipt of your refund via check.

February 28, 2010   completed and submitted a 2010-2011 FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) to the government, and you should have EITHER faxed or mailed a completed 2010-2011 Financial Aid Addendum to us.
